The Emerald Crown | Custom Ludowici Clay Tile & Copper Roof in Fort Worth, TX

This new-construction custom home in Fort Worth is one of the most distinctive and detailed residential projects Ramon Roofing has completed to date.
Built for V Fine Homes, the roof features a fully custom Ludowici clay tile blend, paired with extensive copper detailing, all fabricated and installed by our in-house team.
From the start, this project called for precision planning, specialty craftsmanship, and materials you simply won’t find anywhere else.
A One-of-a-Kind Clay Tile Roof
The homeowners personally visited the Ludowici showroom to hand-select their roofing color blend—a combination of 1/3 Empire Green, 1/3 Forest Green, and 1/3 Vintage Green in the Williamsburg 14" profile.
The result? A custom-manufactured tile blend made exclusively for this home.
We installed 83 squares of tile over a Polyglass NTS underlayment system, paired with a European-style ridge and custom rake pieces designed to meet the architectural vision down to the smallest detail.
28 Squares of Custom Copper, Fabricated In-House
Beyond the tile, this home features 28 squares of copper standing seam panels, installed on the shed roofs and crafted in-house by the Ramon Roofing metal team. Our crew also fabricated:
- Custom copper chimney caps
- Half-round copper gutters and downspouts
- Three copper rain chains
- Precision-cut rake edges and valley flashings
One of the most technically challenging elements was the internal copper gutter system, manufactured, shaped, and fully soldered by our team to eliminate leak points.
These troughs required special measuring, coordination, and symmetrical fabrication to ensure every seam met cleanly—left to right, and all the way across.
Roofing That Reflects the Home’s Personality
This roof isn't just unique, it’s unrepeatable. The tile color will never be replicated for another home, and every copper component was built specifically to match this structure’s shape, slope, and design details.
From specialty copper accents to green tile that changes tone in the sunlight, The Emerald Crown Project is a testament to what happens when roofing becomes art.
Building the Extraordinary
At Ramon Roofing, we believe custom homes deserve custom roofs—and we have the in-house tools, talent, and experience to deliver them.
Every component of this roof was measured, built, and installed with care to match the high standards of our clients and builder partners.
