When a luxury home suffered major hail damage, the Ramon Roofing team was brought in to restore it to an even higher standard.
The original roof, made from imported Chinese slate, had reached the end of its life. Our crew carefully removed the damaged material, installed a new NTS Polyglass water shield underlayment, and upgraded the entire system with 83 squares of Vermont slate in a custom three-color blend—Rocky Gray, Unfading Green Gray, and Vermont Purple.
The result is a timeless and resilient roof designed to withstand the elements while elevating the home’s architectural character.
In addition to the slate installation, we fabricated and installed 22 squares of copper roofing over the arched dormers, along with handcrafted copper flashings, new gutters, valleys, and downspouts—all custom-made in-house at our sheet metal shop.
These copper accents not only enhance the home’s curb appeal, but also offer unmatched durability and long-term protection.
This project presented unique access challenges. The home was surrounded by other properties in close proximity, making direct material delivery impossible.
Our team devised a creative logistics solution: using the neighborhood HOA’s outdoor pool parking lot as a staging area.
Materials were transported nearly half a mile between the lot and the home, and we even stationed a dumpster there to maintain a clean and organized job site throughout the process.
This restoration showcases the craftsmanship, problem-solving, and attention to detail that define every Ramon Roofing project.
From the custom Vermont slate blend to the in-house copper work and logistical planning, our team delivered a roof built for both beauty and longevity.
